Our Minds vs Our Friends

I have learned about states of mind; One's mind can increase, decrease, create or eliminate pains on the physical body.

Like fire, a feeling, once present, can be manipulated to extremeties leading to depressions, obsessions and insanity under a conditioned mind controlled by a situation in one's life or by a simple societal fad.

In these situations, one becomes much of an introvert with feelings and thoughts deteriorating to a state of nonsense and exageration. Much of this can be solved through close friends by simply helping the person opening up and expressing his thoughts and evaluating the thoughts and comparing them to everyone's life. The idea of someone understanding the situation and the feeling of living in a community of common problems turns the introvert into a more social being.

Much of charity indeed starts at home by saving people we know who are on the verge of depressions simply by listening, and giving them their soul some precious intimate time.

This could happen to anyone, it is something which "attacks" our most weak and embarssing points in our character.
